Join our revitalized and growing fitness center chain!
EasyFit has over 30 locations across Finland, from Helsinki to Rovaniemi and from Vaasa to Joensuu. We’ll help you thoroughly assess local demand and the competitive landscape. The EasyFit chain opens 1–4 new fitness centers each year.
Did you know that our franchisees operate 1–4 EasyFit centers, with an average of two? Grow your business and expand safely with us. But wait a minute—let’s start with just one!
The story began in 1987 in Vaasa. We are a Finnish chain, and we’re very proud of it. At EasyFit, we speak Savonian, Helsinki, and other dialects. We believe that our Finnish identity brings added value to entrepreneurs, customers, and stakeholders.
The chain’s unique workout concepts offer customers an unforgettable experience and provide entrepreneurs with higher average revenue per customer and a strong competitive edge. How would a futuristic SkillBox, a functional TeamBox, a leg-training oasis, a BootyBox, or a zen-infused Body&Mind sound for your center? Virtual and online classes are second nature to us.
Let’s do this together, with the support of our regional management. You’ll receive initial training on topics such as our business model, operations, and marketing. We get together as a team on a regular basis for events like quarterly regional meetings and our annual entrepreneur days.
Starting a fitness center isn't free, but let's sit down together and get the numbers straight. Setting up a gym costs €120,000–150,000, and you can get started with a self-financing contribution of about €20,000–30,000. Our EasyFit entrepreneurs are just ordinary people from all kinds of backgrounds.
Premises, equipment, software, access control, and so many other details, big and small. Don’t worry—we’ll help you find the right space, negotiate the lease, renovate the premises, and handle other practical matters.
At the chain’s own centers, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience. At our own centers, we develop the chain’s operations by piloting new concepts and operating models. This ensures that franchisees and centers use only tools that have been proven to work.
We do a lot on your behalf so that you and your team can shine and build a successful, unique EasyFit fitness center. Will you lose your freedom as an entrepreneur? No. Our franchisees are Entrepreneurs with a capital E. In the face of global challenges, our community also provides strength.
The number of fitness centers has multiplied in the 2000s, as gym workouts and a focus on wellness have evolved from a trend into an established part of everyday life. The fastest-growing customer group is young adults, for whom gym workouts have been a popular pastime throughout their lives. Fifteen percent of Finns use fitness center services, and growth continues to rise.
Entrepreneurship always involves a degree of risk. However, we minimize that risk through a strong brand, a thorough initial assessment of the new center, and a deep understanding of the industry.
You don't need to.
A background in business or sports provides a solid foundation for the fitness center business, and entrepreneurial experience or training is a particular advantage. People from the finance sector, the physical therapy field, personal trainers, coffee machine technicians, and other similar backgrounds have become EasyFit franchisees.
EasyFit franchisees pay a franchise fee that is tied to the location’s revenue. This means that the fee adjusts up or down depending on how your business performs.
The EasyFit franchise fee is 8% of revenue. In addition, franchisees pay a fixed marketing fee of €500 per month, which is used effectively for advertising and customer acquisition.
The chain's success depends on the success of its individual franchisees. Opening a fitness center typically costs €120,000–150,000, of which the self-financing portion is approximately €20,000–30,000. Equipment is acquired through a leasing agreement in cooperation with contracted suppliers.
It’s true that as a franchisee, you follow the chain’s business model. If this doesn’t appeal to you, you should consider other ways of starting a business. As a center owner, however, you can still fulfill your potential and make a wide range of decisions regarding your own business. You manage your own employees, decide on the center’s service offerings, oversee customer relations, local marketing, and much more. The chain and the franchisees develop business operations both independently and collaboratively as part of an operational team.
Yes. The number of locations operated by franchise chains in Finland is on the rise. You probably use the services of franchise companies more often than you realize. To name a few: Arnolds, Gigantti, Hertz, If, Instrumentarium, Kotipizza, McDonald’s, R-Kioski….
Why reinvent the wheel?
For nearly two years, from March 2020 to the spring of 2022, the pandemic hit the fitness center industry hard. New customer acquisition came to a standstill, many customers canceled their memberships, customer numbers were limited, and centers were closed by government order. EasyFit’s customer numbers dropped by as much as a quarter compared to pre-pandemic levels. At its worst, EasyFit had 22 centers closed in accordance with government regulations, but not a single one went out of business permanently.
Throughout the pandemic, we focused on clear communication and comprehensive guidelines, for which we have received praise. Even during uncertain times, we didn’t stop; instead, we actively sold our services while our centers remained open, developed our operations, and worked on a brand refresh. We’ll keep growing as we open new centers and see more customers at our existing ones.
