Preparation Instructions for X-Tone™ Treatment

Please check that you do not have any of the medical conditions or health issues listed below that would prevent you from using the equipment. If you have any concerns, please discuss them with the staff at EasyFit Kaari. If any of the conditions listed below apply to you, you should NOT undergo X-Tone™ magnetic (MMS) muscle stimulation therapy.

Absolute contraindications, in which case X-Tone™ training or treatment cannot be performed:

  1. Pacemakers and other electronic devices in the body
  2. Serious cardiovascular diseases
  3. Epilepsy
  4. Deep vein thrombosis
  5. Pregnancy
  6. Inflammation/fever
  7. Muscular dystrophy
  8. Arterial disease (atherosclerosis)
  9. Hemophilia

Relative contraindications – health considerations that should be taken into account and require consultation with a doctor:

Caution should be exercised if any of the following conditions apply: metabolic syndrome, tumor/cancer, severe respiratory disease, severe cardiovascular disease, neurological disease, diabetes, kidney disease, lymphatic system disorder (lymphedema), or autoimmune disease.

Preparing for an X-Tone™ workout/treatment

Treatment should not be performed on the upper back, chest, or head, or near the carotid arteries. In practice, the target areas for treatment can include areas from the chest down (the abdominal area, lower back, buttocks, front, inner, or back of the thighs, calves, and arms). You can choose the specific target area within this range based on your goals.

Do not use this treatment on irritated or broken skin, burns, or sunburned skin. This treatment is not recommended for scars less than 12 months old or within 6 months of stent placement (balloon angioplasty).

This treatment is not recommended for areas containing fillers or implants. It is also not recommended for the abdominal area if you have an abdominal or inguinal hernia, or directly over areas with metal objects or varicose veins. This treatment cannot be performed on clients under the age of 18 or on clients who are intoxicated.

Electronic devices and entertainment

During an X-Tone™ session or treatment, you should not use electronic devices while the treatment is in progress or while the device is running (e.g., phones, smartwatches, Oura rings, car keys; computers should be kept at a distance from the device). Of course, you can use Bluetooth headphones to listen to an audiobook or a podcast, for example, if you wish.

If you bring electronic devices near the X-Tone unit while it is running, you do so entirely at your own risk.

EasyFit Kaari assumes no liability for any defects or damage occurring in the vicinity of the X-Tone device.
The safety distance between electronic devices and a running device is 50 cm.

Since you can’t use electronic devices (in your hands), you can bring along a paper magazine or a book to read. Or you can enjoy a brief moment of mindfulness.

Clothing

Wear comfortable clothing for your X-Tone™ workout or treatment. Lightweight fabric is recommended to ensure maximum effectiveness from the muscle stimulation. The treatment or workout will be easier if your clothing isn’t too slippery (the handles will stay in place better).

Please also make sure there are no metal objects in the immediate vicinity of the target area; for example, take off your jeans or pants if they have large metal buttons or rivets. However, it is safe to wear rings, jewelry, and Bluetooth headphones, among other items.

Other points to note

Piercings and jewelry must be removed from the treatment area; smartwatches must be removed from the wrist; and car keys must be removed from pockets.

It is not recommended to undergo treatment on a full stomach. It is recommended that at least 1 hour have passed since your last meal.

Keep the IUD at a safe distance from the lower abdomen, as the electrical pulse may cause the IUD to move. Use caution during menstruation. Treatment of the abdominal area may cause abdominal cramps.

There must be a safe distance from any metal prostheses in the body, as well as from screws and plates located near the treatment area. Metal may heat up, and electrical pulses may cause the metal to move. When treating the abdominal area, be aware of intrauterine devices (IUDs).

Things to keep in mind after treatment/exercise

An X-Tone™ workout or treatment can boost your metabolism, so be sure to drink enough water after your workout or treatment.
It’s important to allow the treated or worked area sufficient recovery time—48 hours (two days). So, if you have used the workout function on, for example, your glutes or abdominal area, do not work out the same area again until 48 hours have passed. Similarly, a 48-hour recovery break should be observed between X-Tone™ treatments or workouts on the same target area.

Some frequently asked questions and answers

Answer: Device therapy does not completely replace gym workouts; the treatment is designed to complement your workout routine to help you achieve results faster. It is recommended that you allow the treated area about 2 days, or 48 hours, to recover.

Answer: The number of fat cells in our bodies remains roughly the same, regardless of how much we weigh. When we gain or lose weight, the existing fat cells expand and contract accordingly. Naturally, our fat cells die off and regenerate over time. X-Tone accelerates the metabolism of fat cells, resulting in a firmer appearance more quickly. In particular, the permanent number of fat cells resulting from childhood obesity poses challenges in adulthood if the goal is to stay in shape. For maintenance in such a situation, X-Tone is a good supportive treatment to help maintain results. Thanks to pulsed electromagnetic energy, the metabolic process of the body’s fat cells is accelerated, which helps reduce the size of fat cells. As muscles firm up and the fat layer thins, cellulite also smooths out.

Answer: You can see and feel results immediately after the first treatment session, especially if the goal is to restore a muscle group or release a nerve root, etc. If the goal is body sculpting and muscle development, then multiple sessions over a longer period of time are required. Normally, results begin to show after five sessions. Some noticeable results can be seen and felt immediately after the first session. These are small changes, such as improvements in posture and a firmer feeling in the muscles. Most clients notice significant results within 2–4 weeks.
