It’s time for the big fall gym comparison! You can often only find the right gym by trying it out—which means visiting different gyms in person to check them out. However, we’ve done the legwork for you: we’ve researched the current gym offerings and reviewed the services and prices of each facility. For clarity, we’re comparing monthly memberships that aren’t tied to a fixed-term contract and have no restrictions on workout times.
EasyFit
Let’s start the comparison, though, by looking at what EasyFit has to offer. By the way, did you know that EasyFit is a Finnish gym chain? EasyFit offers fair membership terms, high-quality gyms and group exercise classes, as well as efficient services. It’s that simple.
In addition to high-quality gym facilities and a wide range of group exercise classes, our services include personal training and coaching, as well as an online workout library. In addition, the center’s customer service team is available to assist with any questions regarding the gym, services, or your membership—in person, via email, or through the contact form.
As an EasyFit customer, you only pay for the services you use. At the lowest price, you can work out for 34.90 euros per month (includes the gym, virtual group classes, and the online workout library). You can get access to live group classes and all centers for 44.90 euros per month. The centers are open from morning until late at night, so you can work out whenever you want.
Elixia
Elixia is a Nordic premium fitness center chain. Elixia’s services include, among other things, a gym and group exercise classes, a digital workout platform, personal training, and—at some locations—physical therapy services. Premium services include, for example, childcare. Customer service is always available on-site, but the gym’s hours are more limited for this reason. Elixia memberships generally cost between 65 and 90 euros per month.
Fressi and Fressi24
Some of Fressi’s fitness centers are premium-level facilities, while Fressi24 centers are compact and offer a more limited range of services, making them better suited for budget-conscious exercisers. Fressi’s services include a gym, group exercise classes, personal training, physical therapy, massage, measurements and testing, and childcare. Some Fressi locations are open 24 hours a day, while others are open from early morning until late at night. Customer service is open for four to nearly eight hours on most days, depending on the location. There are no staff on site at Fressi24 locations. A monthly membership at Fressi or Fressi24 costs approximately 45–70 euros.
LadyLine
LadyLine is a Finnish fitness center dedicated to promoting women’s well-being. LadyLine’s services include a gym and group exercise classes, personal training, online coaching, and an online workout library. Other center-specific services include Premium studios, courses, various treatments and assessments, and corporate services. The monthly fee ranges from 39 to 59 euros, depending on which services the customer wishes to include in their membership. At LadyLine, pricing is tailored to the customer’s needs. The centers are open from morning to evening, and customer service is available on-site—depending on the center—for a few hours to six hours, two to five days a week.
GoGo and GoGo Express
The GoGo gym chain also offers both premium and budget locations. At both types of locations, services include a gym and personal training for an additional fee. Premium locations offer, for example, group exercise classes, childcare, squash, breakfast, and physical therapy. At premium centers, monthly memberships start at 60 euros per month. At Express locations, the monthly fee is 29.90 euros. All gyms are open from morning to evening.
Ole.fit and Fit
Ole.fit and Fit centers offer a gym, group exercise classes, personal training, and Fustra services. Services vary by center, so additional services may be available. You can work out 24 hours a day, and prices vary by center depending on the services offered. The cheapest no-commitment membership costs 42.90 euros per month.
Heart Rate & Exercise
Puls & Träning centers come in three sizes. The smallest are neighborhood gyms, while the larger ones are full-service fitness centers. The services offered depend on the size of the center. All centers include at least a gym and personal training services. Additional services include, for example, massage, group exercise classes, and physical therapy. All centers are open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., regardless of size. Monthly membership fees start at 54 euros.
Forever Premium and Lite
Similarly, Forever centers are divided into premium and budget locations. Billing occurs every four weeks. The monthly fee for the more basic Lite locations starts at 24.90 €/month, while premium centers cost 55 euros per month. Additional services increase the monthly fee. Services vary by center. In addition to the gym, services include group exercise classes, personal training, racquet sports, and childcare. Some centers are open to members from early morning until late at night, while others are open only during customer service hours.
Move
Liikku is a Finnish gym chain. At Liikku, you can work out for 34.90 euros a month. Liikku does not currently offer group classes, virtual group classes, or an online workout library. Fitness24Seven
Fitness24Seven is the best-known budget gym on the Finnish market. Membership costs 27.90 euros per month. As the name suggests, the gym is open 24 hours a day. In addition to the gym, services include group classes (at some locations), personal training, an online workout library, and a women-only gym. A Fitness24Seven membership grants access to all locations across five different countries. Customer service is open, depending on the center, four to seven hours a day on several days a week. Fitness 24Seven has an exceptional two-month notice period.
Individual centers and boutique theaters
Finland is home to a wide variety of individual fitness centers, gyms, and training centers. Unique boutique gyms have also grown in popularity. In Helsinki alone, there are plenty of options for gym-goers. Some of the best-known ones include Mayors Gym, Fitness Village, and Optiman Performance Center. Gyms run by cities and municipalities are also viable training options these days. The most challenging part of finding a gym might just be deciding which one to choose!
