I've been coaching full-time for 6 years, but I actually started as a group exercise instructor 16 years ago.
In my coaching, I really focus on teaching good technique. I'm into CrossFit myself, so functional movements are my specialty, but for my clients, I aim to mix a good balance of machines and functional exercises. My typical client is someone who's just starting out at the gym or coming back after a break.
I like it when we train hard, but there’s still time to crack a few jokes. “Your laughter can be heard all the way to the gym” is something I’ve been told quite a few times.
