Matias Suosaari

My diverse sports background, from ice hockey and football to martial arts, cycling, and running, has given me a broad understanding of different types of training. Strength training has been a common thread throughout my journey, and in recent years, I've focused especially on combining it with endurance sports – particularly running.

My physiotherapy education has given me strong expertise in biomechanics, preventing and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries, and exercise physiology. My dedication to training and programming has built a solid foundation for coaching both strength and endurance training. Developing running technique and programming supportive strength training are particular strengths of mine.

As a coach, I'm calm and analytical. I can accurately read movement and overall load, which helps tailor the training intensity to the client's situation. It's important to me that my clients get not only concrete results from their workouts but also experiences of success and a feeling that they can control their own progress.

In coaching, I want to be like a navigator, helping you find your direction and creating the framework for success – whether your goal is better running fitness, more strength for everyday life, or simply finding the joy of exercise. I believe that when things are done thoughtfully and properly, you get results that show up both in your training and in your daily life.
